..." or "Save this program to disk"

button

When

Once the install program is loaded you will be presented with a question
Do you want to upgrade ReesEasy files? Y/N
Answer N to this question.
The next question is "Create Desktop Shortcuts?" Answer Yes to this
The next question is to determine where the Rees2000 files should be
installed.
The default program folder is;
C:\RE2000\
This will install Rees2000 on your local C: drive. The data folder is by
default called DATA and is created off the program folder. In the above
example the data would be located in
C:\RE2000\DATA
Choose the options that you wish to install and type the word START to begin
the install. NOTE: DO
NOT SELECT THE SECURITY MODULE - IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE PREVENTED FROM RUNNING
THE PROGRAM AS YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR A USER NAME AND PASSWORD.
Once the program and data files have been copied there are several pages of
questions. Make sure you at least enter your company name and address, GST
number & the correct GST percentage. An explanation of all the questions
is beyond the scope of this document. You will need to contact Rees Software
& Systems Ltd for more information if desired.
Press the Page Down key and then the {Escape} key to exit and complete the
install.
When the install is complete Rees2000 shortcuts should appear on your
desktop. If they do not (and you get a Windows error message) you need to
create them manually. Early versions of Windows 95 and NT 4.0 before service
pack 4 do not create the shortcuts correctly and you may get an error
message.
Printers
Rees2000 uses the Windows Printer system for all output. Rees2000 uses the
"Default" Windows printer for output when the program is initially
started. If you wish to use a printer other than the "Default
Windows" printer - set up a printer containing Rees2000 somewhere in the
name of the printer. To direct output to other printers you can select a
printer at any time by pressing the {Alt+F12} keyboard combination.
Rees2000 does not support printer names longer than 31 characters. If you are
having problems using printers with long names - shorten the name to less
than 32 characters.
Selected output from Rees2000 can go to a predefined
printers. This is achieved by placing certain key words in the printer
name. e.g. Invoices can be sent directly to an
invoice printer by including the word Invoice in the printer name. For a full
explanation on printer options and printing on Dot Matrix printers refer to
our printers
technical advice page.
